Voluntary Action History Society Research Conference

We are pleased to announce that booking is now open for the conference. The conference includes keynote papers by Emeritus Professor Hugh Cunningham, University of Kent and Professor Clare Midgley, Sheffield Hallam University. We are also arranging excursions to local sites of historical interest, such as the historic dockyard at Chatham.

Postgraduate Prize
Submissions are invited for a £200 prize sponsored by the Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy (CGAP) for the best paper given at the conference by a doctoral or other postgraduate research student. It is intended that the prize wining paper will be made available online subsequently, via CGAP’s website. Adjudication will made on the full papers submitted by Professor Nicholas Deakin and announced at the conference. In order to be eligible full papers need to be submitted as a word file by 1 June 2010 to .
